Therapy is designed to help you change things for the better-- to help you or your significant other look at things in a different way and come up with new ways to make things better.
Thinking about counseling can be a frightening thing. You may be afraid of not knowing what the problem is or what the possible solutions may be.  It is the counselor’s job to help you understand and discuss problems and solutions. No problem is unique to one person but there are different ways to deal with them.  We can find ways to improve your situation.

I often tell people that there are at least three choices to any problem.  Most of us only see the first two: 
.....1. To stay in the situation and be unhappy. 
.....2. To run escape but then we often repeat the problem in a new setting or in new relationships. 
.....3. To make changes within the situation.   It is up to each of us to decide if we want to stay or run or make changes.  If you are ready to make changes, then counseling can help you.

I see my job to help YOU, as swiftly as possible, learn about yourself and others, as well as gain new skills to make changes to your life. I provide fewer but longer sessions in order to have you back to the lifestyle you want to be at as quick as possible.
